J&S Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Do I need those big annoying lights to get
good video quality?
A. No. Because J&S Video uses the newest digital technology,
our professional cameramen use only low-light digital cameras. This makes
them as unobtrusive as possible while maintaining high quality video.
Q. Will I be able to hear my vows on the finished video?
A. J&S Video offers a wireless microphone for the groom
that will also pick up the bride's voice during the ceremony. It is up to
the groom to wear one or not. During the reception, the DJ sound board will
also be miked to pick up the best man's speech and the music.
Q. How long is the finished video?
A. J&S Video prefers to create videos that can be watched
over and over, and that include only the best highlights of the day. By keeping
our videos around 40-45 minutes we maintain the highest quality of entertainment
and overall effectiveness with emotional impact.
Q. If the cameraman shoots footage from beginning to end, how come
I won't have 8 hours of footage for an 8 hour event?
A. Believe it or not cameramen usually shoot between 2 1/2-
3 hours of footage. Certain parts of the day like driving from the ceremony
to reception are not taped. What IS included in the footage depends on the package you
choose: Getting dressed & photo
shoots at bride/ groom house, arriving at the church with limosine, ceremony,
outside church/ receiving line, photo shoots, cocktail hour, bridal party
entrance at reception, 1st dances, best man speech, interviews with guests
(only by request), dance floor/ spotlight dances, cake cutting, bouquet toss,
venecian hour...
J & S Video also provides a tape of the
raw footage.
Q. How long does it take to get my finished video?
A. It will take 2-4 weeks depending on the package you choose. If
your video includes honeymoon photos or video, it will take 2-4 weeks after
we receive those. To help speed the process, you can provide photos before
your wedding day.
